Who we are?

Cora Energy was established in May 2011 to provide turnkey EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contracting services and develop projects in the renewable energy sector across Türkiye, Europe, and Africa. Cora Energy focuses primarily on PV (Photovoltaic) Solar Power Plants (SPP) and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), aiming to contribute to electricity generation from renewable sources and reduce carbon emissions. We are actively involved in both development and construction activities.

As of the end of the first quarter of 2024, Cora Energy has successfully completed and commissioned field and rooftop PV Solar Power applications with an installed capacity exceeding 140 MW and the installation of 1,600 kWh of BESS (Lithium-Ion Battery Energy Storage Systems) as planned. These power plants are currently invoicing the energy distribution companies they are connected to.

Activities

Project Development and Planning

Feasibility Studies: Conduct technical and financial feasibility studies to evaluate the potential of sites for solar power generation and energy storage.

Site Selection and Assessment: Analyze geographical, environmental, and logistical factors to select optimal sites for solar PV installations and battery systems.

Permitting and Approvals: Obtain necessary permits and approvals from local, regional, and national authorities, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and environmental standards.

Engineering and Design

System Design: Develop detailed engineering designs for the solar PV system and energy storage solutions, including layout, electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and integration plans.

Grid Connection Studies: Conduct studies to ensure the PV system and battery storage can be integrated into the local grid without issues, including impact assessments and grid stability analyses.

Component Selection: Specify and select appropriate components such as solar panels, inverters, mounting structures, batteries, and control systems (SCADA).

Procurement

Sourcing Materials and Equipment: Identify and procure high-quality materials and equipment from reliable suppliers. This includes negotiating contracts and managing supply chains.

Logistics Management: Coordinate the transportation and delivery of materials and equipment to the project site, ensuring timely arrival to avoid project delays.

Construction and Installation

Site Preparation: Prepare the site, including land clearing, grading, and establishing necessary infrastructure such as access roads and security.

Installation of PV Systems: Install solar panels, mounting systems, inverters, and other electrical components according to design specifications.

Battery System Installation: Install and configure energy storage systems, ensuring proper integration with the PV system, wind turbines, and the grid.

Commissioning and Testing

System Testing: Conduct thorough testing of the PV and battery systems to ensure they operate correctly and efficiently. This includes electrical testing, performance verification, and safety checks.

Grid Connection: Coordinate with utility companies for the final grid connection, ensuring that all interconnection requirements are met.

Operation and Maintenance (O&M)

Ongoing Monitoring: Implement monitoring systems to track the performance and health of the PV and battery systems in real-time.

Maintenance Services: Provide regular maintenance services to ensure the systems operate at peak efficiency, including cleaning, inspections, and repairs.

Performance Optimization: Continuously analyze data and make adjustments to optimize the performance and longevity of the systems.

Project Management

Scheduling and Coordination: Develop detailed project schedules, manage timelines, and coordinate activities across various teams and subcontractors.

Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, manage costs, and ensure financial control throughout the project lifecycle.

Risk Management: Identify potential risks and implement strategies to mitigate them, ensuring smooth project execution.

Client Training and Handover

Training Programs: Provide training to the client’s operational staff on how to manage and maintain the PV and battery systems.

Documentation and Handover: Compile and hand over all relevant documentation, including design drawings, operation manuals, and maintenance schedules, ensuring the client is fully equipped to take over the system.

After-Sales Support

Warranty Services: Manage warranty claims and provide support for any post-installation issues.

Upgrades and Expansions: Offer services for future upgrades or expansions of the PV and battery systems as the client’s needs evolve.
